Our Surgeon, Dr. William F. Buffone specializes in complete and compassionate care of all of your foot and ankle conditions.
Dr. Buffone is dual board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine.
At our practice, North Fork Podiatry & Three Village Podiatry, we always look for conservative means of alleviating foot and ankle problems. However, there are circumstances when conservative treatment alone will not produce the desired outcomes and surgical intervention may be necessary.
Once surgical intervention has been determined to be a viable course of action, we work closely with our patients to keep them informed from the point of evaluation, pre-op, the surgical procedure itself and the post-operative course of care. Minor procedures can be performed under local anesthesia in our office. More complex surgeries such as reconstructive foot surgeries are done in the hospital with mild sedation and local anesthesia.
